This gives you a feel for the place. the boy actually lives in the dump. The fires never go out and they burn constantly filling the air with smoke. Everything they wear and eat comes from digging through the dump. If they ever came to a dump in the States they would have thought they had died and gone to heaven. Our dumps would be luxury living for them.
